With more than half the precincts reporting, Rahall has a commanding lead, capturing more than half of the votes cast. Rahall had 28,851 votes, totalling more than 54 percent of the votes. Barilla garnered 12, 774 votes, equalling less than 25 percent of the ballots cast. Rahall has served as a congressman since he was first elected back in 1976.
Denny Ray Canterbury Jr. will be facing Thomas wood Campbell for house of delegates.
